Capiz Shell Paper

Wet paper pulp is dried on a striated surface to create a water-like texture, then the opalescent Capiz shell is ground up and pieces are sprinkled on top of the wet paper pulp. When dry, the pulp glistens with bits of the ground shell. This gives the paper the appearance of having ice crystals scattered on top. This is a wonderful paper to use as a background when working with any of the natural seashells. Sold in 23" x 36" sheets.
